Supervise every activity. Let your dog opt out. Use suitable materials and surfaces, follow veterinary restrictions and stop if there is frustration or swallowing of objects.
Find a familiar toy
Place a favourite safe toy in plain sight. Invite your dog to find it, then enjoy a short game if they want to. Keep it easy and on an accessible surface.
A little food search
Place a few pieces from the usual food allowance on a clean tray or suitable floor. Let your dog investigate at their own pace. Keep other pets separate.
